28 OCTOBER – 20 NOVEMBER 2019
NEW MOON IN SCORPIO AND MERCURY RETROGRADE. THE TIME FOR CONSCIOUSNESS CHANGE AND AWAKENING.

The Moon is new in the 5th degree of Scorpio at 15:40 at October 28. Scorpio will require our soul to be vulnerable and acutely present through this process.
corpio energy can have trouble being truly vulnerable as it can make them feel “out of control” or weak in nature which you can relate to. This New Moon will bring forth a test of how we can keep our hearts open and compassionate, but at the same time establish clear and healthy boundaries for ourselves.
At the time of this New Moon in Scorpio, the planet Uranus will make a 180 degree opposition to the Moon. It stands for shocks and surprises, as well as enlightenment and evolution. Emotions can here be brought to the surface without warning.
This aspect between Uranus and the New Moon is a test of the universe to trust our feelings, even if they can be a little erratic or confusing. It is within this aspect that we will find the ability to trust ourselves, even in an emotional breakdown. We need to clean the slate and sometimes it’s not pretty. But even though it may feel uncomfortable at first, it is part of the process of finding true strength and power within ourselves.
You cannot build an empire on a shaky surface. You must remove any blockages from the past and fight to start fresh, fresh, open and ready.
The New Moon in Scorpio is here to bring about a personal transformation and release from our deepest wounds. There is a darker energy that wants to be recognized and shown on the surface. It is through this very personal and cathartic realization of the darkness, that allows our inner light to shine brighter than ever. You cannot come to the light without first joining and accepting your darker energies.
The New Moon in Scorpio wants us to be 100% honest with ourselves and be willing to jump off the cliff and fly forward to our next transformation. It takes trust to jump… ! We now more than ever have the opportunity to stop and ask some probing questions about what is really happening in the areas we struggle with the most in life. There has been an incredible amount of deepening and liberation for all people so far in 2019, and this New Moon in Scorpio represents our transformation. Just as the Scorpion archetype shifts between the Scorpion, the Serpent and the Eagle/Phoenix, we also change our current form as we sink ever deeper into our experience of being human.
How do we manage to reach into the power that the scorpion asks us about? Can we face our fear and name it? Are we willing to show up in our vulnerability so that we can risk being met where we are? Are we aware of our shadow, which is really the wounded self? Do we throw off the mask and let ourselves spread our wings and throw out our true essence?

Scorpio signifies the cycles of life, death and rebirth. She understands that all things in life go through this cycle, which are the winds that blow and bring about change. She has faced death and through the ashes she awakens to new life that brings renewal. It is a rich time of connection and renewal where we can feel the full spectrum of life in its fragility and strength. In the midst of all the change, there is real magic! As this New Moon opposes Uranus at 180 degrees to the Moon, something unexpected comes in to force us deeper into awakening to our true selves like a flash of light.
This moon marks an opportunity to stop, look deeper within ourselves and be honest. Excuses and denials will no longer work. Honest answers and truth are necessary. We don’t even need to share it with others, as it actually takes some time to let it sink in for oneself. But truth spoken in our own hearts is still truth. Even the most unpalatable truths can still free us from the facade and the false self.
As the Moon’s North Node crossed the degree of the solar eclipse on July 2 at the time of this New Moon, emotions that arose then—and the circumstances that triggered them—can find resolution now. Insights gained in July come into their own and pave the way for a clear change of pace or direction. If it feels like slipping back into a state you thought you were done with, remember that life is a spiral and not a roundabout! We actually encounter the same thing many times, but always from a slightly different perspective or point of view. We are never the same person twice, no matter how much we feel like we are. The North Node shows that the manifestation of our future is not trapped in the past. But we have to do our part to make it happen, and if life is full of ‘déjà vu’ right now, we might get a golden opportunity to go through questions from earlier this year, to take different and better choice.

Mercury retrograde in Scorpio
With Mercury turning retrograde in Scorpio on October 31st, this is not the time to hide to escape the pain of awakening. What we avoid at this moon, may come to “bite us” again in November! It can hurt to be confronted with the facts and consequences of denials, deceptions, avoidance and assumptions. But when we stop dramatizing the pain into a crisis, it can eventually subside, leaving a psyche that’s cleared of emotional debris. Uranus opposing this Moon offers exactly this freedom. The more self-deception and lies we unravel, the freer and more awake we become.
On October 31, at 15:35, Mercury turns retrograde in the 28th degree of Scorpio and remains so until November 20, 2019. In this sign, Mercury deals with secrets and lies, investigations and exposures. It will dig as deep as necessary to get to the root of a problem. Polite chit-chat is not the domain of Mercury in Scorpio. Be prepared for some uncomfortable but enlightening conversations. We are used to playing with the truth and like to hide behind lies to maintain control and keep ourselves safe.
Of course, we can resist such an awakening with all our strength. But no matter when we keep secrets or hide aspects of ourselves, this will eventually come out. And it goes without saying if you want blockages to disappear and want a life of truth and love. No matter how good we’ve been at maintaining a false identity or living a lie, this Mercury retrograde could change all that. And if it does… don’t panic! Whatever is revealed, it is better that it is released into the open than hidden in the shadows, it has less power that way. And the truth can transform it into a more wholesome force in our lives, no matter how mucky it looks upon first exposure to the light of day. As mentioned earlier in this post, it is also the time to have trust. This means that you can be safe even with lots of exposure and deep revelations. Look at them as a release of stale breath held for many years. It has poisoned us and we don’t need it anymore. So whatever comes to the fore in the coming month, remember that the following will see you through: hope in the potential for change, faith in your ability to rise, and a commitment to use even the sharpest challenges as fuel for the journey ahead .
To let more light in, we have to let go of the darkness. <3
Truth, honesty and openness.
